Kansas PRIDE BURDEN Receives Grant

Kansas PRIDE Burden has been selected by the Kansas PRIDE Program for a Community of Growth Award! Only 5 Awards are given each round so applications are highly competitive. “This grant will be very helpful for out group to purchase signs and flyers to help promote projects we are working on” said Kansas PRIDE Burden President Will Abernathy.

The Kansas PRIDE Program is a partnership of K-State Research and Extension, the Kansas Department of Commerce, Kansas Masons and Kansas PRIDE, Inc. Through the Kansas PRIDE program, local communities identify what they would like to preserve, create, or improve for their future. There are currently 73 communities participating in the Kansas PRIDE Program across the state of Kansas, with Burden being the only community in Cowley County.

Kansas PRIDE Burden meets the second Saturday each month at 10am in Burden City Building. You can follow Kansas Pride Burden on Facebook @KansasPRDIEBurden.
