Foundation Scholarship Applications Deadline March 5

Cowley County and surrounding counties (KS): College scholarship applications for Arkansas City, Burden, Dexter, Sedan, Udall and Winfield high school seniors are now available in the guidance offices of those high schools. The scholarship amounts range from $250 to over a $1,000; some are for students pursuing specific areas of study while many are open to any student pursuing a higher education. The deadline to submit applications is Friday, March 5. In 2020, Legacy Foundation awarded over $90,000 in scholarships to area students.

All the scholarships are funded through endowments held by Legacy Regional Community Foundation. “Scholarships are a popular way for our donors to honor the life of a loved one or to give back from the fullness of their lives,” says Yazmin Wood, Chief Executive Officer, “We encourage every student to look into these opportunities. These donors know the value and cost of a good education and want to make it more possible for our graduates.”
