Cowley County Service Alliance (CCSA) Announces meeting for area organizations

Cowley County (KS) ─ The Cowley County Service Alliance (CCSA) will hold its next meeting

on Thursday, January 16, 2020 beginning at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at Ark City

Senior Center, 320 South A Street, Arkansas City.

The topic for this meeting is “Put out the Welcome Mat.” Join us in discussion with a

panel of community volunteer managers to talk about how to effectively recruit, retain and

organize volunteers for and within your organization. Debi Clark (Big Brothers Big Sisters),

James Fry (Cowley College) and Brae Wood (Leadership Southwestern) will share their

experience and tips for working with volunteers of all ages. Additionally, we will share

information regarding the countywide calendar of events. Everyone is invited!

Cowley County Service Alliance was created from the idea of arranging a reoccurring

opportunity for area civic, service and nonprofit organizations to gather for information sharing, discussion regarding effort collaboration and support. It is believed as our Cowley County civic, service and nonprofit organizations develop greater lines of communication; the whole area will be able to work more effectively and efficiently in addressing the needs and quality of life for the people of Cowley County.

If you are wondering if you or a representative of your group, church or nonprofit should

attend, then you should make plans to be there. You do not have to be the club president or a designated representative to attend. Gatherings are open to everyone!
