Christmas on Route 160 to Feature Holiday Contests

Chili Cook Off

Do you have the best Chili in the country?

As part of the Christmas celebration, Christmas on Route 160 will be hosting a chili cook off December 8th.

To enter email statum2311@gmail.com by November 30.

Contestants must provide a crock-pot worth of chili. Entries must be at Burden Park Pavilion by 3pm December 8th. Judging begins at 4pm. The winner will be announced and $150 first place prize awarded immediately following the judges' decision. You are not required to be present to win.

The prize is made possible by donation from SKT.




 

House Lighting Contest

House Lighting contest to be a part of the Christmas on Route 160 celebration. Community members are invited to compete with neighbors for bragging rights. There are three categories to choose from:

1) Most Like Griswald - Throw some more lights on and see what sticks. This category is looking for the most over the top Christmas display.

2) Best Traditional - Red and green, snowmen or elves, you choose the most traditional decor yo can find for this category.

3) Most Original - Your imagination is the only limitation in this category. Want to dazzle with glitter? Go for it! Want to rep the hometown team? Do it!

Contestants must be registered at Burden City Hall by December 6 at 4pm. Winners will be named the night of Christmas on Route 160 festival.
