Burden Community Garden Planning Meeting Set for February 13

Have you been curious about what is going on at 410 Chestnut? Do you want to know more about the community garden coming this spring in Burden? The first community garden planning meeting is scheduled for February 13 at 7:00 pm at the Burden City Building.

Work for the community garden has been happening behind the scenes for several months after a community member presented the idea at a Kansas PRIDE - Burden meeting last fall.

Dedicated citizens have been communicating with other communities and organizations on how best to set up the garden.

With the rough plan in place, the group is looking to the community to refine the plan and begin work.

There is much work left to do and it will require the community to support it. Those who are interested in attending the meeting are asked to bring something to take notes in case we run out of time.
