The youth of Methodist Kids Club House braved the early morning in order to beat the heat and get the fence painted on the north side of Forrest Park.
At the beginning of the summer the youth of the Methodist Kids Club House decided they would like to perform community service projects during their summer break with painting the fence being the winning project.
During the June Burden City Council Meeting, Kansas PRIDE - Burden President William Abernathy requested permission for the Kids Clubhouse to paint the fence. In addition to allowing the youth to paint the fence, the city council agreed to purchase the paint to complete the project.
Other projects receiving a fresh coat of paint include the Car Wash on 5th and Oak as well as various curbs and fire hydrants throughout town.
